The Place To Stand
Not seeing ecology as something outside humanity. Seeing Life as the whole within which everything belongs.Not imagining nature as something separate from us that we must reach across to protect.Remembering there has never been a self apart from Life.Not standing above creation. Standing within it.Not forgetting what has always been true.Remembering that every breath, every body, every river, every forest, every community and every star belongs within One Living System.
What I Stand For
Ecology is not outside us.It is the living relationship we already belong to.There has never been humanity over here and nature over there.There has only ever been One Living System.I stand for remembering Life as the whole within which every body, river, forest, home, child, community, culture and star belongs.Not standing above creation.Standing within it.Because ecology has never been about the environment.It has always been about Life.
